Watkins Supports Grrreat Cause

December 12, 2001—As part of their ongoing commitment to tiger preservation, Watkins Manufacturing Corporation, maker of HotSpring spas, recently contributed a portion of its Tiger River® spa proceeds to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the Zoological Society of San Diego. The funds are used to support conservation efforts of tigers, a species poised on the brink of extinction.

"This is our ninth consecutive year of supporting these worthwhile organizations," said Mike Dunn, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Watkins Manufacturing. "Our goal is to spread the word about endangered tigers to all corners of the globe. We hope to create more nationwide attention for this cause by contributing to programs that will focus on saving the tiger," said Dunn.

Watkins also donated a Bengal® spa to the Center for Reproduction of Endangered Species (CRES). The spa was part of an auction at their annual "Celebration for the Critters" fund-raiser. CRES works to preserve endangered tigers through research and reintroduction programs, and also produces materials and brochures which detail the plight of endangered species.

Watkins encourages its dealers to participate in similar promotions with their local zoos and wildlife parks.
